New Jersey is the only state with a free naloxone distribution program

The Murphy administration this week announced that the opioid-overdose antidote naloxone will soon be available at local pharmacies, for free, to anyone who needs it. "Harm reductionists have been fighting for this for a very long time and the Murphy administration heard and took action," said Jenna Mellor, executive director of the New Jersey Harm Reduction Coalition.
