Fresno Chaffee Zoo hosts groundbreaking ceremony for 18 acre expansion.

After nearly 10 years of planning, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo broke ground on an 18 acre expansion. The African Adventure exhibit will feature African elephants and lions, cheetahs, white rhinos, a brand new giraffe feeding station and a new restaurant. The project is funded by Measure Z. The Fresno County tax passed in November 2004. African Adventure is set to open at the end of 2015.
