Tigers Born at Fresno Chaffee Zoo
Season 2014 Episode 295
The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is celebrating the birth of four rare Malayan tiger cubs. Mek, the mother tiger, was moved to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo from the San Diego Zoo so she could breed with Paka, the zoo’s male tiger. There are only about 500 Malayan tigers remaining in the wild. The four cubs look to be in good health. They will not go into the outdoor enclosure for a couple months.
