Castle Air Museum: Douglas RA-3B Skywarrior

The Douglas A-3 was the largest aircraft based aboard an aircraft carrier. After 8 weeks of dis-assembly at the Mojave Airport, the aircraft was transported to Castle. Volunteers went to work reassembling the aircraft, painting it and rolling it out for display. For the Restoration Team, this project began in January of 2010 and wrapped up in May of 2013.
