Pays tribute to those who endured the internment experience and came back to carve their niche in their communities. After Pearl Harbor, Pres. Roosevelt signed Exec. Order 9066. It called for the removal of West Coast residents of Japanese ancestry. The Merced Assembly Center was operated by the Wartime Civil Control Administration where local people of Japanese ancestry were imprisoned in 1942.
